How to make an inexpensive wastebasket

At the heart of the quick and cheap RV wastebasket is a common warehouse club size cerial box.

Remove the box top and cut a 2" downward slice at each corner of the box.

 
Cut a 2" downward slit at each corner


Taking a common plastic grocery bag, slide a portion of one end of the bag's handle into one of the slots.

Feed the "handle" through the slit


Repeat this with the opposite end of the handle, filling yet another slot, and again with the other handle until the bag is hung in the slots.  Now stretch out the bag in the box to "line" it.

All four corners covered and "lined"


When the bag is full or soiled, simply pull the bag out of the box, tie it off and toss it.
