Protect your RV tires from sun damage

Wind deflectors: Do they really work?
Are those wind deflectors you see mounted on some pickup trucks really effective in streamlining the air flow and increasing mileage? The wrong installation can actually defeat the purpose. More information.

Vacuums and carpet sweepers
My RV is mostly carpeted; right now I have a tiny canister vac but it's really rather...useless.
I was wondering if you had suggestions for nice, small vacuum cleaners or even manual carpet sweepers that might not necessitate my getting down on hands and knees. We have cats, so the battle against tracked litter is constant.

Streets and Trips 2008 or CoPilot 10?
For the last 4 years I have used Streets and Trips as a GPS. Before upgrading to the 2008 version of S&T, I would like to know if any of you have tried CoPilot 10 for RV,
or if you have any comments.

VuQube satellite antenna
Does anyone use the new VuQube satellite antenna? I understand it is used mostly on long haul trucks, but recently Camping World may have started selling. They seem to be similar to the rig top domes but are portable and so can be moved out of the way of trees.

When you're a fulltime RVer, where do you register to vote?
An Associated Press review of laws and policies across the nation found that election officials sometimes make it difficult for  thousands of full-time RVers to cast a ballot. Tennessee and Montana, for example, do not allow voters to list a commercial address, such as a mailbox service, unless they live there. Florida requires a permanent, stationary home address, but gives election officials some leeway. In Texas, thousands of RVers had their right to vote challenged in federal court, though they ultimately won. Read more.

But one state recently made it easy for full-timers to vote. Learn which state.

Everything in this newsletter is true to the best of our knowledge. But we occasionally get something wrong. We're just human! So don't go spending $10,000 on something we said was good just because we said so, or fixing something like we suggested (check with your own technician first). Maybe we made a mistake. So be sure to check things out.

At RVbookstore.com we strive for excellence in all we do and that's the honest truth (as opposed to the dishonest truth). Our customers receive really, really fast service. We move so fast in sending out a customer's order that sometimes we pass through the sound barrier, which really upsets our neighbors. Our motto is "You need it so we speed it," and no truer words were ever spoken!
