DIY repairs and upgrades
My wife and myself have been rebuilding our home now for a couple of years now and am caught in between a rock and a hard place. My aunt was letting us work on our home while we were here, but she is 93 and has with the help of my cousins to sell the property and move into an assisted living home. That's fine by us but now the question I have is where is there an RV park that would allow painting or rebuilding? I'm in the Tucson area and most of the camps here cater to the snowbirds and not us fulltimers. Does anyone know of a park somewhere near Tucson that will let you, say, replace the countertops inside or paint the stripes and the sanding that goes with it while you continue to live in the home? Any ideas?
Day night shades
I want to repair my broken day night shades. Is there a special tool to get the shade off the window? I can see how they are mounted but trying to "pop" it off the mounting bracket is a mystery. Help!
PEX tubes and tools
My RV dealer's service manager tells me that the compression tools for PEX run around $200. Are there alternatives for connectors and splices? I'd like to be prepared just in case I ever do have a problem. Not sure that I want to put that kind of money into a just in case I ever need them.

We received this letter from reader Janie Johnson
"This is absolutely unreal in this day and age. HSBC online bank refused to allow me to use their bank because I am a full-time RVer. They are an online bank with no permanent address and they refuse to allow me to use their bank because I have no permanent address ... does that make sense to you ... or is it just me? I think this is information the RV community should be made aware of."
